Oligoscan

Example of an Oligoscan Test

What is an Oligoscan?

Oligoscan (Mineral Analysis and Heavy Metal Toxicity Screening)
Oligoscan is a cutting edge technology that measures heavy metals, vitamins, minerals and trace elements in the body. It is quick, non invasive and safe. The actual test takes several minutes and the results come immediately.
The Oligoscan uses spectrophotometry (or light) to measure the optical density of trace elements, minerals and heavy metals that are currently present in the tissues and peripheral blood system. It is like having a photograph taken of your hand.

Who can have an Oligoscan?

  • Oligoscans can be used from 2 years of age to adults.
  • Weight from 10kg and a minimum height of 70cm.
  • Blood type needs to be done for a more accurate result.

If you don’t know your blood type, a simple test can be performed with a drop of blood in clinic.

Why have an Oligoscan

Blood tests can be helpful in giving us a snapshot of what is happening in our bodies, but it is equally important to know what is happening in the cells.

Blood tests for heavy metals are not good indicators of how much heavy metals are in a person. Heavy metals gravitate to tissues and organs.

Many essential nutrients for good health, such as calcium, zinc and magnesium, may not be able to be absorbed into the cells when there are too many heavy metals. You may have the best diet in the world but the nutrients cannot be used by the body.

Having heavy metals in our system may be an obstacle to cure. For example, the root cause of hormonal symptoms may actually be heavy metals interfering with our hormones and glands.

We live in a toxic world where we are all exposed to heavy metals.

  • Heavy metals are associated with many symptoms, for example
  • Skin condition
  • Infertility
  • Low mood
  • Poor concentration
  • Hormonal disturbance
  • Fatigue and low energy
  • Feelings of anxiety

It is well know the link between Aluminium and neurological disorders, such as alzheimers.
Investing in health may prevent sickness in the future.

What does an oligoscan measure and show

  • Twenty major minerals are analysed with their excesses and deficiencies.
  • Fourteen heavy metals
  • Mineral ratios
  • Levels of intoxication and blockages in elimination
  • Oxidative stress
